Home is sanctuary and the idea of having someone sharing can at first be rejected because it seems insecure. Choosing a good home-mate is the key and the right person/people can bring comfort, companionship and a sense of safety.

Workshop Description

“Share Housing: Is it the Right Choice for You?” is your opportunity to learn more about how it might work. In this half-day workshop you will learn:

  • Benefits of sharing housing.
  • Dangers of social isolation to physical and emotional health.
  • Guidelines for living well with others.
  • A step by step process for selecting a good home-mate.

The workshop is interactive with exercises and group discussion as well as some lecture. There will be lots of opportunity for questions and answers. 

All attendees will receive a copy of Sharing Housing, A Guidebook for Finding and Keeping Good Housemates.

The workshop will be taught by Annamarie Pluhar, founder of Sharing Housing Inc., and the author of Sharing Housing, A Guidebook for Finding and Keeping Good Housemates.
